The lodge and its beautiful village are an ideal place to spend vacations with children.
In the village you will find a unique calmness and environment that is hard to find in other locations.

Belvedere Room (for children from 5 years and up): Experience sleeping in a hiking lodge dormitory.
Children from 5 to 9 years old will benefit from 50% discount on overnight stay. Children over 10 years old will be charged as adults.
Metamorphosi Room (for everyone): 4-bed room. If you prefer a room for yourself, or if you have children younger than 5 years old this is the right room for you. You can book it for € 85.00 per night. Breakfast, linen and towels, cot or crib are included in the price.
The picnic basket is also provided.
In Castrovalva you can leave your children free to play in the street and you can experience the peace of mind of wandering aimlessly as cars don’t drive around. They are parked at the entrance of the village. You can relax and enjoy your stay quietly.
Castrovalva is the perfect place to experience the mountains with your children in all seasons of the year thanks to its trails that spread out directly from the lodge. You can also book one of our workshops: homemade pasta, cookies, salt dough, nest boxes and bird feeders, and so on.
We are located closed to many experiential activities dedicated to families or children such as:
- Relax in the WWF protected area and oasis down in Anversa degli Abruzzi;
- Visit to Scanno Lake for swimming or renting a skate;
- Day trip to the farm to participate in mini transhumance, milking, making cheese;
- Donkeys workshop: after grooming and brushing the donkeys, you will take a walk with them to discover the scents, colors and places of great harmony. You can end the day with a workshop or outdoor games;
- Day trip to the fallow deer visitor center in Villetta Barrea or to the wolf visitor center in Popoli;
- Canoeing on the Tirino River or renting a bike.
